Around 5:30 p.m., Friday, September 21, a trooper stopped a 2012, white Mazda for speeding eastbound on County Road 24, near Shelton Road in Buffalo County. The trooper smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search led to the seizure of 65 lbs. of marijuana. The marijuana was located in four duffels bags in the trunk of the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, David Nguyen, 31, Oakland, Calif., and a passenger in the vehicle, Jacob Seneca Cordova, 32, Oakland, Calif., were both lodged in the Buffalo County Detention Center, each on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
