Round two of the state football playoffs in the C and D classes gets underway tonight, with local teams taking their home fields and hoping to continue their cinderella stories. In Class C2, Hershey hosts a playoff game for the first time in school history. The twelfth-seed Panthers take on Blue Hill at 5 PM. In class D1, the Maxwell Wildcats, fresh off their upset of Paxton, look to avenge another regular season defeat as they host Arapahoe at 6 PM. In class C1, Gothenburg heads to the panhandle in search of another playoff upset as they face Chadron at 3 PM. Elsewhere tonight, also in class C1, Chase County hosts top-seed Boone Central/Newman Grove at 3 PM. Medicine Valley hosts Garden County at 5PM in a D2 playoff game. And in North Platte, St. Patrick’s hosts West Holt in the C2 playoffs. ESPN Radio 1410 has the call of that game, with pregame coverage at 2:30 and the kickoff at 3 PM.
