Letters To The Post: Nebraskans To Petition Their Government
Citizens of the State of Nebraska have joined other states to petition their government for a redress of grievances or a request to peacefully withdraw from the United States as is permitted in the Declaration of Independence. Texas has gained enough signatures to receive an official response from the White house. Are we seeing a modern day breakup of the Union? You decide.
Looks like there is only 3 signatures so far, i am contemplating, i dont want obama on my front door step threatening me.

Women don’t have to spend their adult lives barefoot and pregnant! We use science and not religion to explain things like climate change (which is a real thing that is happening)! Why must folks hate. Im not paranoid or crazy….. Im not even tea party and I signed it. Why would someone turn this into a gay rights or minority issue.Its not mentioned not even once. This is simply a matter of States rights versus the federal government. A lot of people have had it with the way washington is conducting business and are attempting to at least do something about it. Maybe you like the idea of having your head in the sand regurgitating fox news or mainstream media talking points… I for one believe in this Republic to its core with or without a large central government.There was a time in our history circa 1770s when another group of then colonial Americans were labeled crazies,paraniods, whateve for doing this very thing… challenging an overbearing central government… They drafted perhaps the greatest American legal Document to date also a statement of Secession. The Declaration of Independence. So to say Secession is batting .000 is a complete false. You knock it all you want but the fact remains they have the right to petition the government. They tryed working through the system with the tea party and it became co opted by neo cons. The 2 party system is a failure… two sides to the same coin… Wake up
Not crazy, not paranoid, not ‘tea party’… and not very bright, apparently.
We get a chance every two years to ‘do something about’ the ‘way washington is conducting business’. They’re called ‘elections’. If you don’t like the candidates, either run for office yourself or try and work with a political party to find better ones. But that’s how this Republic works. And it’s how it’s always worked.
Of course these dimwits have the right to petition the government for secession. They have the right to petition the government to bring back the freaking McRib on a permanent basis, too. That’s the kind of ‘freedom’ that everybody’s so afraid they’re ‘losing’. You aren’t losing freedom – you’re just bitter that the kinds of people you don’t like (again, gays, minorities, women…) are catching up in the freedom and rights department.
Also, anybody who concludes a political screed with the words ‘wake up’ is not to be taken seriously.

This has been going on over the course of the last 40 years not just this Administration.Im not going to point them out to ya.Do your own research. You can start by researching TSA, and Homeland security and their rediculous poking and prodding into your personal life. US military and Joint chiefs admit our military does not take orders from the Congress but the UN. Unlawfull search and seisure is running rampant with no reguard to the 4th amendment. The 10th Amendment is consistently violated by our federal government.The exact things are happening that the founders warned us of tirelessly and its going to get worse unless We the people put a stop to it now.

Registered independent – if I’m lyin’ I’m dyin’. But I happen to believe that the current Republican party is so far off the reservation – having allowed itself to be led around on a leash by the bigoted and ignorant – that they are not worthy of being taken seriously when it comes to substantive discussion about the future of our country.
