1. What are some tips and tricks to eat less at meal time?

Start every meal with two cups of water. It sounds so simple and basic but research has shown that starting a meal with two cups of water can decrease how much you eat and therefore result in weight loss, in a 12-week study of people who did drink two cups of water before their meals lost up to five pounds above and beyond the individuals who didn’t.

2. Don’t skip meals to cut calories! Eating breakfast actually helps you lose weight.

People often think that they will save on calories if they skip a meal but the problem is that you make up for that later in the day, the key to this puzzle is choosing the right foods when you have a meal. For breakfast make sure you have some protein!  A study that came out recently shows that if you include protein in your breakfast, you eat up to 500 calories less during your next meal than you would if you didn’t include that protein.

3.  Fish Oil is a powerful weapon when it comes to weight loss.

There are so many weight loss supplements out there as you can imagine and the one supplement you can trust to do the job is fish oil. A handful of studies show that supplementing with fish oil might actually help lose more weight.  A study which includes a group of people who were given nutritional recommendations and was supplemented with fish oil lost more weight than other individuals who were supplemented with other things like sunflower oil. The benefits don’t stop at weight loss, fish oil helps with brain development and heart health as well!

4. What do I need to start losing right now?

Just get started with something, figure out what your reason is and what ever that may be, figure out what you can implement today like drinking two cups of water before your very next meal, developing a strategy for this week and maybe try something else next week, add the fish oil to the diet and set some small and achievable goals which will bring you closer to the ultimate goal.
