HJHotelMonday, January 21st, is a day to remember the previous building that served as home to the North Platte/Lincoln County Convention and Visitors Bureau for nearly four years at the corner of East Francis & Dewey Street. The Visitor Center is now located at 315 West Eugene Ave.

The open space presents  the possibility of an exciting  new business to join North Platte, a new restaurant, gift shop or even something completely unique to the wonderful city.

Today is also Martin Luther King Jr. Day which takes place on the third Monday of every year.

ITS GOING TO BE ANOTHER BANK FOLKS (First National). And NLNB just closed on yet another lot…..SW corner of Leota and Jeffers. Across the street from their new huge bank being built. They closed at the end of December and bought it for $600,000.00

We don’t need anymore banks good lord. Maybe they should build something that will keep the young kids and teens in this town out of trouble, give them something to do. Lord knows that a perfectly fine building didn’t need to be torn down just so another bank gets built. Leave the banks where they are, downtown were main banks should be. UGH!
