The Hershey Lady Panthers have won a game at the girls basketball state tournament for the first time. Shelby Allberry posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds in the losing effort for the Lady Irish. Hershey moves to 21-4 with the win, while St. Pat’s finishes their season with a 22-4 record.

Just FYI there are several students that live in North Platte that attend Hershey Schools. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with North Platte Schools as I only have a Senior at the high school; but my other children do go to Hershey and they were ECSTATIC to be able to listen to these girls on the radio today. Daynlynn Miller and all those girls are wonderful role models and I’m proud that my 6th grade daughter looks up to her. THANK YOU Dan for announcing you are doing a great job!!!!! You do a great job with all the sports teams REGARDLESS of where they are from. Hershey is a part of this community as well…and to the St Pats Girls you did a GREAT job and it was wonderful to watch you play Hershey this year, you all are wonderful players and deserve the admiration of all your fans.

P.S. If you like 98.5 so much….why are you on the North Platte Post?

Dan, your coverage was awesome!!! I really enjoyed listening to this game on Thursday! Poor little St. Pats Lost!!! That is what happens when you go into a game thinking you are so much better than the other team and then that other team plays like they should and beats you!!!!
