Audit Finds Deficiencies in NE Supreme Court

ne-supreme-court(AP) — A new state audit has found problems with travel expenses and deficit spending within the Nebraska Supreme Court.

State Auditor Mike Foley released a report Thursday that said the court incurred expenses roughly $220,000 above the amount appropriated by state officials in fiscal 2012. Foley says the court covered those excess expenditures with funds from fiscal 2013, contrary to state law.

Auditors also identified more than $3,800 in improper travel expenses, mostly due to hotel expenses for court employees that the audit team considered unnecessary.

In a written response, court officials say they are reviewing their accounting procedures and making improvements to their travel policies.

Those are the real criminals that should be rotting in prison. They’re the worst kind of criminal – the one that walks right up to you. They’re well groomed, well mannered (when anyone important is watching) WAY TO WELL paid, with more days off and excess of exuberant luxurys than any normal hard working citizen would ever hope to have: Politicians. They will walk right up to with a smile on their face, shaking your hand, look you straight in the eye, and tell you that your the most important person in the world to THEM; while also reaching around and slowly pulling your wallet and keys out of your back pocket. The way Our government is run will not last long at this rate. With high ranking city officials being arrested for DUI/drugs/assualts/robbery/sexting/ect and even higher ranking government officials in just 1 of 50 states misplacing/misusing/sweeping-under-the-rug over $220,000 [!!!!!!!!!!!!!!] of taxpayers money, people will loose faith in this government very quickly. The $1 is backed by “the full FAITH and CREDIT of the United States Government”. A wise teacher once told me: “Its not how much actual precious metal/jewels/property a ‘Government’ has to back up its printed paper currency, its how much trust the people have in their government that it can operate correctly and efficently without being contridictive. Whens the last time you DIDNT hear someone harshly critizing the President or his cabnit/staff – you would almost think he was the next G.W. Bush.
