Zalia Mae Reynolds, age 84 of Longmont, CO, passed away December 16, 2013 at a nursing facility in Longmont, CO.
Zalia was born in Wilcox, NE on May 20, 1929 to Arthur and Eulah (Jay) Jackson. She attended schools at Wilcox, Ogallala and North Platte. In their teens, during WWII, Zalia and her twin sister Zatha, delivered Western Union telegrams. They shared a bicycle and were instructed to never leave a telegram if only one person was at home. She married Russell David Reynolds on April 15, 1948 in their pastor’s parsonage when David was home on leave from the Navy. They lived in North Platte, Scottsbluff and Longmont, CO. She was a longtime member of the Nazarene Church, teaching Sunday School and serving youth and teen groups wherever she lived. She was a stay-at-home mom, but with seven children she never really stayed at home! Once they started driving, she stayed home more, mostly on her knees in prayer, as she had six sons!

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband David; her sons Raylan Dean and Brice David; brothers the Reverend Reynold (Alice) Jackson and Oris Jackson; sisters Audrey Mackley, Jean Moore, Dorotha Hubbard, and her beloved twin Zatha (Skip) Gullion.
