Cozad 47 Gothenburg 37

Tanner Borchardt recored a double-double with 17 points and 19 rebounds for the Swedes but it wasn’t enough in the loss to Cozad.

Girls Basketball

Papillion La Vista 50 North Platte 47

The Lady Dawgs led through three quarters but couldn’t hold on in the fourth on the road.

Friday, January 31

Boys Basketball

No. 8 Lincoln Southeast 60 North Platte 49

The Dawgs fell at home to the eighth-ranked Knights of Southeast. Kade Erickson led North Platte with a game-high 17 points.

Gothenburg 40 Minden 37

Tanner Borchardt scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Swedes to the win.

RPAC Tournament

Hitchcock County 56 Wallace 36

Girls Basketball

Lincoln Southeast 54 North Platte 53

The Lady Dawgs lost a heart breaker at home to the Lady Knights. Brooke Lattimer banked in a three-pointer at the buzzer for the win for Southeast. Kaitlynn Harvey scored a game-high 26 points for North Platte in the loss. Madalynn Doughty was also in double-figures with 10 points for NP.

Sandhills/Thedford 59 No. 10 (D1) Brady 55

Madison Elliott led the Lady Eagles with 15 points and Josie Palmer was also in double-figures with 12 points in the loss.

Thursday, January 30

Boys Basketball

No. 5 (D1) St. Patrick’s 61 Maxwell 23

The Irish improved to 16-1 on the season and 6-0 at home with the win.

Sutherland 57 Creek Valley 45

 Girls Basketball

No. 3 (D1) St. Patrick’s 50 Maxwell 18

The Lady Irish held the Lady Wildcats scoreless in the fourth quarter en route to the win.

Sutherland 65 Creek Valley 37

The Lady Sailors were led by Jalyne Schuster and Sam Staggs who each scored 16 points. Staggs recorded a double-double by getting 10 steals in the game as well. Morgan Simpson was also in double-figures for Sutherland with 10 points in the win.

No. 10 (D1) Brady 45 Mullen 42

The Lady Eagles were led by Valerie Most with 13 points and Tara Callahan recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Morgan Simpson scored 17 points to lead three Lady Sailors in double-figures. Jalyne Schuster scored 15 and Sam Staggs added 12 in the win.

Emily Franzen and Regan Geiken each scored nine points in the loss for the Lady Swedes.

Monday, January 27

Gothenburg 44 Broken Bow 38

Tanner Borchardt recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Swedes to victory on Monday. Collin Hahn also scored in double-figures with 12 points for Gothenburg.
