The greatest injustice carried out by the Unites States is what they did to the Ponca Tribe in Nebraska.

They were a peaceful tribe who was forced at gunpoint by the U.S Army to move to Oklahoma in 1877. 25% died in the move.

The U.S district court declared them human beings in 1879 (Standing Bear vs. Crook). They declared them to be “persons within the meaning of the law.”
