North Platte, Ne - The Eagle Media Farmer/Rancher of the Area was announced recently. Listeners of Eagle's radio stations, and viewers of NorthPlattePost.com & SandhillsPost.com were asked to nominate deserving farmers and ranch families from the area for the honor.
Mike Sullivan who farms with his family between Wallace and Hayes Center is the winner of this honor. According to his nomination,"Mike is a 4th generation farmer and is passing the farm down to the 5/6 generation. Mike has always dedicated is life to ag by sitting on commodity boards at the state and national level and sharing his passion with ag to anyone that wants to learn. He’s been a great role model and I’m proud to call him Dad. Besides farming Mike serves as a volunteer firefighter putting others above his farm when the need arises!"
