North Platte Public Transit joins the Celebration for Nebraska Public Transit Week, 2024, scheduled for Sunday, April 21st – Saturday, April 27th.
Public transportation in Nebraska is provided by the collaborative efforts of the Nebraska Department of Transportation and Federal Transit Administration to provide resources to transport individuals every day.
North Platte Public Transit would like to increase understanding and awareness of their local public transit system and the service they provide. Nebraska Public Transit Week has been dedicated to raising awareness of public transportation across the state for the past ten years.
During Nebraska Public Transit Week, North Platte Public Transit will celebrate their commitment to rural transit. Their agency provides a service throughout the city of North Platte and the surrounding 20-mile radius of North Platte’s city limits, offering door to door service.
This transportation is for everyone!
Join us as we help celebrate Public Transit Week with our passengers and employees by having puzzle and coloring contests, giving promotional items to our passengers, and in honor of the 10th year anniversary of Nebraska Public Transit, North Platte Public Transit will be partnering with the North Platte Public Schools by STUFFING THE BUS FOR KIDS! All donations will be for the North Platte Public School’s Pantry. We encourage the community for their donation to STUFF THE BUS FOR KIDS with school supplies and/or canned or boxed food. Public Transit Bus will be parked at various locations throughout the week of Public Transit Week. You may also find any Public Transit bus to donate items for the kids!
