(North Platte, Neb.) — The west side of the Philip and Jeffers intersection is now open, and the east side of the Philip and Jeffers intersection closed today, March 27, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. 

The east leg of the Jeffers and Philip Street intersection will be closed for both eastbound and westbound traffic. Motorists are advised to utilize alternate routes during this time-period. The closure is expected to be in place for approximately two (2) weeks. 

Paulsen, Inc. of Cozad is the contractor for this project. The closure is for construction of new concrete pavement, including the Philip Street Intersection. 

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
